# Get execution step executions

#### Path parameters

- `executionId` (string · max length: 255) — required
  Workflow execution ID

## Description

Refer to [Spaces](https://www.elastic.co/docs/deploy-manage/manage-spaces) for more information.

Retrieve a paginated list of step executions for a specific workflow execution. Does not include step input or output; fetch those with GET /api/workflows/executions/{executionId}/step/{stepExecutionId}. If a page exceeds Kibana's response buffer, the handler returns 413.

## Required authorization

- Privileges: `workflowsManagement:read` and `workflowsManagement:readExecution. Extended privileges (optional, expand functionality when granted): workflowsManagement:managed:readExecution`

## Authentication

- Api key: `Authorization: <value>`
  You must create an API key and use the encoded value in the request header. To learn about creating keys, go to [API keys](https://www.elastic.co/docs/current/serverless/api-keys).

## Query string parameters

- `page` (number · min: 1 · default: 1) — optional
  Page number.
- `size` (number · min: 1 · max: 5000 · default: 1000) — optional
  Number of step executions per page.

## Responses

#### `200`

Indicates a successful response.

`application/json`

#### `413`

The step page exceeds the response size limit. Request fewer steps per page.
