# Read the significant events

#### Path parameters

- `name` (string · max length: 255) — required
  The name of the stream.

## Required authorization

- Privileges: `read_stream`

## Authentication

- Api key: `Authorization: <value>`
  These APIs use key-based authentication. You must create an API key and use the encoded value in the request header. For example: `Authorization: ApiKey base64AccessApiKey`
- Basic: `Authorization: Basic <credentials>`

## Query string parameters

- `from` (string · max length: 255) — required
  Start of the time range as an ISO 8601 date string.
- `to` (string · max length: 255) — required
  End of the time range as an ISO 8601 date string.
- `bucketSize` (string · max length: 255 · pattern: ^(\d+)([smhd])$) — required
  The bucket size for aggregating events (e.g. "1m", "1h").
- `query` (string · max length: 10000) — optional
  Query string to filter significant events on metadata fields
- `searchMode` (enum) — optional
  Search mode: keyword (BM25), semantic (vector), or hybrid (RRF). When omitted, defaults to hybrid with a silent keyword fallback on failure. When set explicitly, failures propagate as errors.
  Values: `keyword`, `semantic`, `hybrid`
