Report issues and get help

The API docs workflow is complex, with many interdependent components. Don't hesitate to ask for help if you get stuck or have questions.

If you're not sure who owns a specific API, check out the API docs workflows table to find the right team.

When you find a bug or gap in the API docs:

• If you're comfortable making the change, open a PR in the relevant repo
• Alternatively, open an issue in either:
  • elastic/docs-content (public repo)
  • elastic/docs-content-internal (Elastic employees only)

If you find a bug in the contribution guide itself, or you'd like to add information, open a PR. For small edits that only touch a single page, click the Edit this page button. This will take you to the source file in GitHub, where you can make your changes and submit a PR.
