Get workflow step executions

GET /api/workflows/workflow/{workflowId}/executions/steps

Retrieve a paginated list of step-level execution records for a specific workflow. Optionally filter by step ID and include input or output data.

[Required authorization] Route required privileges: workflowsManagement:read AND workflowsManagement:readExecution. Extended privileges (optional, expand functionality when granted): workflowsManagement:managed:readExecution.

Examples

Example response returning step execution records for a workflow. The second entry shows a Human-In-The-Loop wait_for_input step that has been responded to: the hitl envelope is populated synchronously by the inbox respond path so every reader (Kibana Inbox UI, Slack, Agent Builder, raw API/MCP) sees a single canonical responder for the step.
